Master Closet Makeover on a Tight Budget

I have always loved the idea of being organized, but closets with only a rod and a shelf make it almost impossible. I couldn't reach the shelf in my closet so I would jump to grab things or just throw them up making a big mess, most things just ended up on the floor. I have been wanting to redo my master closet for a LONG time, so I decided to finally take the plunge and Just DO IT! After a month of hard work it is finally done and I LOVE it!! It was a labor of love and a closet on a budget, but so worth the effort! For all the before and after shots and final budget price, click on my blog post, you won't be disappointed!
Front and side shots of the closet before.
I started by building two towers for drawers and to divide the hanging clothes.
Next I added the trim for the towers.
I build some custom hampers for under the drawers in each tower. They are my fave!!!
I also built a bench with a drawer and a shoe shelf!

I am seriously so happy with it turned out! Come check out the reveal on my blog!!

  • Of course GG! I actually do a breakdown of what I spent in my final post: http://mylove2create.blogspot.com/2014/02/master-closet-makeover-reveal.html I also explain that about half of the wood and materials are things I had already had. I have a hoard of wood I have collected for free and I used a TON of it and that saved me a TON of money! Including the baskets I bought I ended up spending just over $300! If I had to buy all the wood I am sure it would have been much higher. I hope that helps! Thanks so much for your sweet comment!

@Mindi @ MyLove2Create.blogspot.com OH! Yes, you did. I was on your blog but just looking at the pictures. I see it now. Wow oh wow...that's a great price for such professional looking closet! I know it was a lot of work, sweat and tears, but oh, so worth it!
