Good Afternoon J.hrbacek, I am sorry to hear about the stress your tulip tree is under. Usually the loss of leaves is due to stress from lack of water. Below is a link that gives a list of tulip tree problems and what can be done. Hope this will be helpful for you. Thanks for using Hometalk for answers :)

This is normally caused from root stress. In the wild they are found by rivers and streams. They have shallow root bases so when they feel drownded there leaves will get black/brown spots and drop there leaves. If you have provided the tree with plenty water and this is still happening then your soil is not draining right and it could be a fungus. However with a tulip tree it's normally because of root stress which is lack of water.

It sounds as though it is diseased and perhaps being infected by pests. Take a few leaves with some twigs to your local co-operative extension. They can tell you and usually it is at no cost.
