you can, or you can donate them to op shops, charity places.. they are tax write offs.
You can do anything if you set your mind to it.

Shag Rug (with Recycled Material)
"Rag" rugs have been popular since pioneer days. Also cut up pieces to use for quilts. There should be some patterns for various cloth hats, similar to beenies. Check out allfreequilting.com and allfreesewing.com for ideas. There's a search bar at top of page and long list of topics down left side.
Do you have tshirts and undershirts? They make good dusting and cleaning cloths. Split up the back, they make good craft smocks for children. Cut out the sleeves and cut a slit in the front and they might fit you as a sleep shirt.
If your tees have prints on them you would like to keep, cover an old cushion with one. Pull the tshirt over the cushion so that the print is on the center of the cushion. Fold the neck, sleeves and tails in toward the back. Keep folding the tshirt tightly against the cushion, using safety pins on the back to hold the folds. It may take 3-10 safety pins to hold the fabric securely.
Best wishes 😇
According to the fabric: you could reshape and use centered on your dinning/breakfast table. I have seen some fabric , that is dear to the heart, framed and put on tripods that are small and large. Also family napkins that can be enjoyed by guest. Don't discord the fabric. Just think , how you would like to see these pieces in a different use. .......enjoy them !
You can cut the sides of t shirts and add lace inserts or coordinated fabric. You can make reusable grocery bags out of them, make throws, redo them into clothes for little ones or donate them.
I would cut the fabric into strips and make a rag wreath or garland. If the colors don't work, you could dye them.
Cloths (to wipe or polish) or Clothes ( to wear)?

LIttle girls would love to play dress up in your old clothes.
Donate them.
You can cut into smaller pieces and "push" into a styrofoam wreath form to make a rag wreath. I save mine for small messes rather than using paper towels or napkins for clean up.
