How can I make a headboard without nailing to the wall?
I rent and can only use small nails and thumb tacks. I would like to make a headboard as well as other items, but all seem to call for using studs and large nails.
A french cleat... you can make your own out of wood, or buy the metal one.... https://www.google.com/search?client=opera&q=french+cleat+to+hang+headboard&sourceid=opera&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8
hamer it or use really really sticky glue or screw it on
Secure it into the studs in your wall. Use a wood screw long enough to go thru the headboard, dry wall and into the stud. Best of luck to you.
I attached my VERY heavy headboard to the wall using lag bolts on the legs below the mattress level.
I second the French cleat idea.
