There appears to be dog hairs under the 'shine'. Disgusting. Think I need a pro?

I'd call the contractor that did the job! if that's not an option - in an unobtrusive area try a wax stripper to see your results - wax can be removed DIY -- labor intensive, but doable; Removing the Poly will require either sanding to remove ( professional job or you could ruin your floor!) or a hand applied stripper for polyurethane -- ( again - try in a small, unobtrusive area to see what you really have on the floor!!)

Thanks! I think the last homeowner did it to make the place look better to sell. Wish she had swept first.

I use lemon ammonia to strip floor wax and Mop n Glow which is sticky. I usually use my carpet shampooer and put the stuff in the water reservoir. I will change the water when I am ready to rinse, and empty the catch reservoir frequently.

Sharon, do I use the ammonia first and then the M&G? Or mix them? (I've always been told not to mix ammonia with anything, but maybe that was just bleach products) Thanks for your input. Sounds easy enough!
