Prep is just clean, let it dry and wipe it down with alcohol to remove any oils. Those spray cans self-prime and use a mask
Rustoleum has paint that adheres to plastic. Get the one that's paint and primer, it covers better in my opinion. I just painted my outdoor plastic box and it looks tons better!!
If you paint this, I would ONLY USE brown pots for your plants. For the paint may work against the growth of your plants. Best wishes, J.
