I start by cleaning the insides of the windows, and then wiping the dash and doors off. Next I vacuum. I have small children so there is always a lot of crumbs stuck in the seats. I take the dusting attachment for the vacuum and use that those areas. If you have leather seats the last is I use a leather cleaner and wipe them down. After all that if you have enough energy then give the outside a good wash and wax. I always open all doors after I dry the cat to wipe all edges of the doors off.

I would start with the windows inside., after that dust is done, remove the rugs, and clean them., sweeping all the inside., for this is all OUTSIDE, then make your water for washing. Do this in shade, and use a sponge, and gloves if you use them. When you are done, use a chamious, to wipe it dry. This is totally done, except for the outside windows, they need to be cleaned too. Best wishes, do NOT do this in the sun, but the shade., for this will streak, when drying. Enjoy, for this usually brings rain the same or next day!!! It always works for me, never fails.!!! Judy

  • My method is to clean the inside by wiping everything down and vacuuming. Then wash and dry, and lastly the windows inside and out. If it needs a wax, I take it to a local service.

Do not use dish detergent. It washes away grease meaning wax.

I love soaping the car upright before it rains, so the final rinse is a good one. I'm also a fan of using baby wipes inside of the car, because they're odorless.
