There are companies that can come out and cover your tub if it is in bad shape and they you don't have to replace it. It is a surround cover.
There are tub refinishing kits available at Lowe's and Home Depot that goes on like a paint and will 'rewhiten' your tub.
Looks a bit like aphids.
