Check all the screws and bolts to see if any are loose. If so, tighten them and that may help. If the problem is wood rubbing on wood, try applying wax to the wood surfaces.

Sometimes a squeaking rocker becomes a fond memory. When I hear one, it reminds me of my grandmother rocking in her favorite chair.

It's the wood. There are filler products you can just apply to the wood joints. My squeak came from too loose joints and wood glue stopped it by swelling the joints for a tighter fit.

A relative of mine is in the flooring business and many times for squeaky floors, they simply sprinkle some talcum powder between the slats. He did it on a squeaky area in my hallway and it worked immediately. The squeaking never came back. You may be able to do the same on your rocker if you can find the spot that's noisy.

Graphite is a better choice for a lubricant on moving parts.
