use a wood cleaner like Old English and dry with soft white cloths
I use Murphy's soap on wood. If it is really bad you can try GooGone.

Try using Murphy's Oil Soap with warm water. It is gentle but will remove built up grease.
Murphy's Oil Soap - I also like Old English products too.
