Is there a good all in one paint out there?

  • What do you want to know? I am personally not a fan, but that is just me.

Not sure what you are asking, but if you are asking opinions on it, I would say its good paint, but nothing beats a good coat of primer. Even all in one doesn't always have the coverage needed, especially for tough colors or stains to cover up

I agree with the comment above. I like using a good primer first, then using a separate paint for the best coverage. I find that the all-in-one paints do not have the same coverage level as the separate ones.

There are many "all in one" paints out there. But I am with Dianacirce70. I don't like them for one reasons. They dry so fast if you make a mistake you can't always fix it. In this case I would "go old school or go back to the paint store".

They are OK as long as the wall isn't too rough, or your making a big color change, say going from red to white for an example. If the later are true I would use a real primer like Kilz or Zinsser first, then use whatever paint you like. If the surface is not good, I will use 2 coats of primer to get a nice finish.
