Hi Smakhenzon :) I hope this tutorial helps. I should think that if you prefer the entrance to the storage area to be in the front of the seat rather than the top of it, you could simply add doors (or leave open) and make the seat solid. Good Luck on your project and thanks for using Hometalk :)

Standard seat height and depth is 18" with standard dining table height of 30". That's good for average height adults but if you plan to have kids or smaller adults sitting on the seat you can cut back to 17" height and table height of 28-29". 24" seat depth will need bolsters or extra-thick cushions across the back to be usable with a table.
