I LOVE General Finishes milk paints for cabinets. With GF, you don't need to prime your cabinets, just use the paint - amazing, right? You'll need to scuff up the cabinets prior to painting with a fine grit pad for better adherence, but that's it! It's self leveling and all the colors, although they're already beautiful, can be mixed to make custom colors. They supply finishing sealant too. Great customer service. If you go to their website you can find a retailer that stocks them near you. They're on Amazon too but higher-priced. I've been using them for years and can't recommend them enough!

I just finished my kitchen cabinets and used Re-Thunk Junk Paint. They turned out beautiful. My neighbor told me they look like I had them done professionally. Re-Thunk Junk Paint is not a milk paint, nor is it a chalk paint, but it is a no prime, no sanding, water based paint. They also make a finishing product called Tuff Top. I put three coats of the Tuff Top on, simply because my cabinets get a lot of use. I've attached a picture of my finished cabinets. They were a dark walnut color before, so I did use a primer; only because I went to a light color and I wanted to be sure of no bleed-through.

It isn't real milk paint unless you mix it up yourself. Mrs. Mustardseed on Amazon is one brand of mix, but you can cheaply make it yourself....

Thank you! I purchased Re-Thunk Junk paint from my local dealer; however, you may purchase it from ReThunk Junk's website, which I believe is, www.ReThunkJunk.com
