    It is probably road "scum"...I have taken window cleaner and cleaned them.

    Hello Sandy; Turtle wax makes a one step rub, for dull headlights covers.

    It is available at Wal-Mart, Target, Etc.

    use white toothpaste and a dry rag. Rub on lights and wash off!

    Did my daughters a few months ago. Used white toothpaste (not gel) and a damp cloth. A dab of toothpaste on the cloth and gently rub in a circular motion in a small area. Keep the area damp. Wipe off with a damp paper towel and check the progress. Repeat as necessary. Once your satisfied use a paste auto wax to protect the surface. They will dull again over time with whatever product you decide to use.
