Yukon Gold potatoes-how long will they last after green has dried to

sticks last in the ground? I have taken some but wonder how long can I let them sit in the ground?

    If you take them up and let them dry for a few days and keep them in a coolish dark place they will last for quite a while, just like the potatoes you purchased in the store.

    Hello Pam, I would not leave them in the ground past the first frost. Dig them up before the first frost. You can store them in a cool, dry place for months. Best of luck.

    If the first frost catches them, dig them up ASAP. You can cook, can or freeze them with potato juice, or mash them for freezing. You can even store them between newspaper but keep an eye on them because they might rot easily. If the first freeze catches them, if they are still worth eating, they may get dry or mushy, so use immediately. Best wishes 😇
