How do I fix a corner on a wood table that was damaged?

The finishe is a cherry color. The corners (2of them)look like they have been chewed by an animal.

    If two corners, or even one has been damaged I would sand all the corners down. Table doesn't have to have sharp corners.

    They also have Wood putty out there......follow instructions and go from there. It works for repairs.

    I would have all the corners rounded. Don't need sharp corners on all tables. I think would look great and you are saving a table.

    My dogs did the same thing on the corners of two cabinets. I used wood putty by the makers of Elmers Glue ($6 at Walmart and it goes a long way) and it worked great. I patiently recreated the corners then repainted them. You couldn't tell it was damaged at all.
