End Grain Cobble Block Wood Tile Flooring
Just wondering what people thought about our end grain wood tile flooring idea. So many different ways to lay out. What's your favorite?
It is parquet. But you pronounced it correctly. I saw Parquet flooring refinished with a darker stain and it was gorgeous. Also saw on TV a very, very light parquet floor with dark cabinets, modern..lovely. Go to houzz.com
I saw parquet floors refinished in a dark color and they looked fabulous. Just saw on House Hunters their parquet floor was sanded and made a very pale color. Shiny. And looked great with dark accents. Modern and fresh.
If the floor is in good shape, you can sand and stain it. Then seal it.
You could brighten it by rubbing in a whitewash (generally a 1/2 paint to 1/2 water blend) after a good cleaning. Don't forget to seal it.
