The house is unlevel and cannot get some of the water to drain and then the grandkids show up and somehow move it. There has to be a way to do this.????

it sounds like you need to shim up the troughs base so that it angles to the drain, and then secure the trough into place.

I am so old that I can remember horse troughs on city streets, in fact as a kid I threw up in one, one time. I can't imagine how they would every work as a shower. Can you post a picture of it?

I will try. I am old enough I that I can't figure out how to do pictures sometimes. This is a metal low horse trough. With my arthritis it is perfect for me to get in and out of. I had the original claw leg bath tub but couldn't pull myself up any more....so I have a cedar lined bathroom, all western, and I love it.

If the floor is out of level, you can put another piece of plywood under it and shim it till its level. or you can do what they do when they install a tub, put some plaster under it, and then level the tub using a level and pressing down on high point.

You might get some small blocks of wood screw them in under the edge of the plywood, and then use redwood bender board, soaked, and then bend around tub and screw into your wood blocks as an edging to further prevent the kids from moving the tub. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Bender-Board-Redwood-Common-1-8-in-x-3-3-8-in-x-8-ft-Actual-0-125-in-x-3-375-in-x-96-in-457639/206935923 You could rip these in half for an 1 1/2" trim at bottom.
