Marine paint is a good option. Seal-Krete is also a good brand for patio projects.

I am going to do some with the glow in the dark paint so my puppies can see there path at night...but I do live in Florida..

Have you considered a concrete stain? It penetrates so scratches and weather damage are not as obvious and easy to touch up if deep.

you can use any paint or concrete stain the finish product you need is a tarazo dealer sold at Sherman Williams that will give your paint a long lasting finish and should prevent scratching

Yes, a stain rather than a paint was my first thought. Paints will peel and puppy claws will accelerate it. Stain should seep into the pores and last much longer.

Try a shiny appoxy. As a landscaper I use it all the time.

I have found a paint, brand name "Nelsonite" that works extremely well and is durable on outdoor concrete patios. Lasts for years, looking as new and there are many colors! It has a grainy texture that would eliminate slipping as you walk across it.

Use an outdoor transparent stain if you must, but for heaven's sake don't paint them! Slippery when wet; ugly at all times -- fake, fake, fake. Ugh.

I have used outdoor Patio Paint for years with great success. I live in Wisconsin where our winters can be brutal, too. I like the paint because concrete patio blocks are porous and the paint acts like a stain. I use the Patio Paint Sealer both before and after painting. The sealer is not slippery, it soaks right in. I have a round patio block in front of my yard fence that reads Welcome to our home. There are colorfull flowers in it also. Sun beats down on it, rain pounds on it, sleet and ice coats it, snow covers it. It's been hit with snowshovels. It stays outside 365 days a year and is just as bright as the day I painted it, 6 years ago.

Behr makes a great exterior stain worked so well on my concrete patio i chose Terra Cotta and it's gorgeous!

Thanks everyone for all the great advice. I do have a Sherwin Williams dealer in town, I will see what options they have for me.
