I dehydrate my excess herbs and save them in jars. We buy dry beans and lentils and store them in jars. Plastic gives off gases that is not good for food or drink so long term storage is better. Another idea, buy knobs for the top and spray paint the lids. Make them into beautiful jars for gifts on holidays and other special days like birthdays. See the photo. I made these and they make wonderful decor or gifts!
you can also clean them up and buy canning lids and can tomatoes make jellies or jams or place string lights in it for a night lite just drill hole in top of lid that came with jar maybe paint it a nice color to match any room or fill with variety of candies to give as gifts with a cute bow tied to it good luck and post pics please
