You should first five your shower a thorough cleaning, then just wipe it down with a small towel after you shower. Keeping it dry will prevent scale and such build up

Scale builds up over time on wet surfaces, so drying your shower after each use with a squeegee and towel will help.

Put a squeegee in your shower and use it after every shower. After squeegee-ing dry with the towel you just finished using on your body.

There are commercial products available or you can spray with a vinegar solution (use distilled water) but squeegee-ing and drying really helps.

Here is a simple trick to keep scale from the glass parts of your shower. Use car wax to polish the glass. The water will run right off, and you'll only have to do this polishing once every 6 months or so.

You can use a squeegee like others have said, or after the shower is clean, you can wipe some lemon oil on the walls. Do NOT use this on the floor as it will make it slippery. The oil will sheet the soap scum off the tiles. Redo when you clean the shower

You can use car wax on your shower walls to help keep them clean, the car wax causes the water to just run right off. You can also keep a squeegee in the shower to dry the walls for added protection. Then once a week wipe the walls down after a shower and spray off, this will make sure everything stays clean. Also reapply the wax every few months to assure the continued protection. It helps protect new shower walls as well as seal old ones. DO NOT PUT IT ON THE SHOWER FLOOR, it will make it very slippery. Car wax is also wonderful on sink counters and such as well. I use to do house cleaning and one of my customers taught me about this trick. It really works great. If you maintain your shower with every use it is much easier to keep it clean in the long run. P.S. car WAX is also wonderful for scratched glasses, It does not fill the scratches, or make them go away but does help a lot by stopping the light from diffraction within the scratches making it easier to see. Just make sure there are not harsh chemicals with the particular car wax you use. You do not want a polish either, just a wax

If you can borrow or by a home steam cleaning unit, this is what I use and it eliminated me from constant chemical cleaning. It also cut down on the daily cleaning after I steam cleaned the shower twice.
