recently moved and inherited front yard cemetery vision Lol. 8ft by 8 ft square lot with no grass only weeds. This lot had a tree stump. We removed it. Around the perimeter is a layer of red brick atop layer of gray interlock. Hence grave site look. What can I do to rid this. Is laying new grass too late seasonal

Hello John, It may be too late to put seed down but it is not too late to put sod in. Sod requires water. A lot of water. You have to keep it soaked for the grass roots to take hold. I would pull all the weeds out first and then lay sod down. When you put sod down, you should stagger it. You may have to cut a few pieces to create a staggered installation. If you put a tree in, you could give it a nice boarder with those red bricks. I would put the interlock pavers around the front of your house to make a flower bed. I hope this helps you. Good luck.

Unless you get a very early cold snap fall is a good time to put new grass-follow instructions regarding watering

If that dirt is hard packed, I would water the heck out of it and run a rototiller over it, then rake it, and get some good soil delivered before putting that sod down.
