How much weight can wood crate shelves hold?

I put up some wood crates in my daughter's nursery using metal shelf brackets. They feel very sturdy, but as I load them with diapers, wipes, and toys, I'm getting a little worried that they may not be strong enough. Does anyone here have crate shelves and can let me know how sturdy yours are and how they've held up?

Thanks, everyone!

They will hold a lot more than you think, especially with the brackets you have. I just wouldn't load them with books.

    Cute!

You have good sturdy brackets which should hold baby things nicely! Watch the bottom wood of crate. If it's bowing from weight, you need to remove some things until now is gone.

It really depends on the type of wall and type of fitting you used to secure the brackets??

Those shelf brackets will hold up to 25 pounds flat. In your post you used plastic anchors to mount them on the wall. If you were to screw them into studs they would be more sturdy or use toggle bolts if no stud is available. I would also use screws in the top inside corner of each crate screwed into the wall so the crates don't lean forward.

By looking at them the brackets don't appear to be sturdy enough to hold that much weight of the crate itself that is with nothing on it. I would get bigger brackets or like the gentleman said go directly into the studs but I do think you need new brackets that's definitely not enough to hold up that weight. My worry came when you said that it was in the nursery. Please be safe.
