Hello Holieay, For dusting purpose, you could secure a towel to salad tongs using rubber bands to hold the towel in place. If, however, you want to wash them with soap and water, I think your best bet would be to wash them outside. I recommend adding a quarter cup of vinegar to the soap and water. I hope this helps you. Good luck.

Lay them out in your yard and take a hose to them. Or get an attachment to your hose so you can use soap and water to spray on

If you're going to lift blinds that big out you need a friend. Draw the blinds completely up. Decide where you are going to hang them up outside, and pound some long nails in , I do mine above the garage o n the trim. Then hang the blind up under the metal header of the blind and slowly let down while one person holds on to it. Hose them off, use a soft car brush and sponge in a bucket with soapy water, I like Dollar Tree Awesome Orange in the 1/2 gal.. Turn around and do back side and hose off again. Leave to dry. Close back up to lift off and rehang inside.

A Hometalker recently asked a similar question and received many wonderful ideas. Look up to the left at the Hometalk icon, and in the "Find your next project!" box, type something similar to, "How do I clean metal window blinds." Lots of tried and true directions herein.

If you have a clothes line put the blinds over it. You'll have your hands free to clean. You can try one of the car wash cleaning attachments to clean with your favorite cleaner.
