What are these black droppings?

my wife and I keep seeing these droppings by our front door, I've cleaned them up once but they have returned. Can anybody tell me what these droppings are?
Termites! If you remove it and it keeps coming back, that's termite poop! It looks like black pepper only a little bigger.

You need to show us a picture of these droppings
If you often leave your porch light on in the evenings large toads, frogs, or lizards (if you live in FL) are attracted to the area to catch the bugs that are attracted to the light. This might be why you are finding droppings around the front door.
Bats. Make sure they’re not getting onto the house.

Mice,bats. check perimeter of your house for openingS. At dusk go outside,watch for bats coming out. Bats are good critters actually,but you don't want them in your house, those drippings make you sick and bats carry rabis. Seal all cracks and openings you find. Research on line how to control these critters. If all else fails then call an exterminator

Yup looks like mouse poop and if you look at the wood in the corner, it looks like a hole. Set a trap.

looks like Lizard droppings. If you live in Florida its expected you will eventually have a lizard want to live in your house. Larger the lizard the larger the droppings, But cockroaches also leave behind tiny black droppings..like someone said either way call the exterminator.
I think it is mice. Looks very similar to what we found in our house. Call an exterminator! They can do a lot of unseen damage.
They look like rodent droppings - LARGE rodents! Please call an exterminator. They will come out, inspect and at least tell you what you're dealing with. From there you can then decide if you will hire them or try on your own.
1. Those are not termite droppings which look more like big grains of sand and there would be more of them.
2. Need to see them more close up before can tell you whether they are mouse droppings. Mice droppings tend to be sorta eliptical - like a very tiny football - but not always. Those look more round - like BBs.
However, mice don't stay in one place unless they are munching on food. They move around and drop as they go and you would see these where ever they've been. You would also see where mice urinate which appears as a brown stain and can be smelly if there is enough.
3. Toads do like to hang around under lights at night to eat bugs, but why would it be inside your house? They hang out on my patio, but I've never seen poop like this where they tend to sit at night. Doubt it is a toad. Frogs live in and around water.
4. Believe it or not, caterpillars can leave poop like that, but it's usually on the plant they happen to be devouring at the moment.
5. Can't imagine roaches staying in one place long enough to do this.
6. Never had lizards or geckos so can't say what their poop looks like, but again, why would it sit right there for any length of time? I have heard of people letting geckos loose in their apartments when they have a roach problem and don't want to use chemicals. It worked. They rarely saw the gecko or any more roaches. They did leave food out for the gecko when the roach population dwindled.
7. While an exterminator can likely tell you what creature those belong to, remember that chemicals will kill not only the creature you don't want, but also any good ones that happen to be around and even 'all natural' remedies can be toxic to people -- think of all the poisonous mushrooms, chlorine gas, & poisonous plants, that are "all natural" but will kill you nevertheless .
Once you know what you have, you might consider investigating non-chemical ways to deal with it. Sometimes something as safe and easy as diatomaceous earth is all you need to get rid of ants and roaches or sow bugs, etc.

Funny, there’s an awful lot of pictures online showing the exact same stuff labeled bat feces. And that’s what the bat man said when he came to the house.
I did not realize the problem was INside, however.
Well whatever droppings are, you need to find out exactly what is leaving this little present for you....this is far out but can you put a video camera to film overnight to see exactly what is doing this?
I'm no expert, but since they are inside and there appears to be a little hole in your floor trim, I'd guess some mice. Set a mouse trap. (You can get a 4 pack at Walmart for less than $1.50). If you catch a mouse....voila! It's mice. Keep setting them until you can go a while without catching any. Peanut butter is the best in a mousetrap. Of course, you can use "Hav-a-heart" Humane mousetraps if you want and then remove the mice (way faraway) so they can bug some other poor soul. 😆
Video sounds good but mice are most likely problem. You can either set a trap(peanut butter makes best bait, not cheese) OR buy a box of d-con. Mice eat the d-con and then go elsewhere to die. Either way close access to area from pets and kids. If you have outside cats the trap would be safer. I lost a really good mouser to someone else killing mice with poison.

I believe it's mice. We are having similar problems in our laundry room. Fill the little home in the corner with steel wool - they won't chew metal of any kind. Then spray some ammonia - they hate the smell of it. Might want to spray the hole in the corner before you put the steel wool in. Then you can caulk or use wood filler to even out the trim where the hole was.
Mice run along g base boards and stop in the corners.

Looks like mouse droppings. We were told by an exterminator to permanently block the hole during the day not at night, while the mice are outside, so they cannot get back in. Then to set traps, to get the ones that may still be inside. Of course you will need to check outside to see where the other hole is. We were also told to use steel wool, and caulking. Also, don't forget to replace you door's weatherstripping if it is overly flexible, cracked or has holes.
Looks like mouse droppings from the photo. A mouse trap and peanut butter might help solve the problem. I do have a great husband who will take it out when the mouse is caught. Not my thing.
My son used to have a pet bearded dragon (aka lizard). Their poo is longer than a mouse's. (even when they are small). Also, they usually have a tell-tell white tip on one end. (TMI)
It's inside, so probably not a bat, and termites look more granular. So, not a bat, not a lizard, doubt a toad or frog would fit through that hole or hover in a corner. Mice stay along the base boards and always follow a path. It's going in and out through that little hole and dropping its business between runs. 1) Catch it now before it has babies, or leads more into your house. 2) Stuff 0000 steel wool into the opening on both sides, 3) then patch and paint.
Roaches, that's definitely roach droppings. German Roaches make little poops and it looks like they have a nest. You better call an exterminator to do your entire house before they take over. Turn the lights on in the middle of the night, you will definitely see what it is.
its difficult to see, exactly, what they look like. But those look too large to be roaches. I'd say mice or small rats
I would get a "sticky trap" and put it where the droppings are....you may catch whatever is leaving the droppings. We had crickets in our basement and put out a sticky trap.....wow....we were surprised at the amount of crickets stuck in the trap. If it is something flying then the trap may not work..don't know if you can put a small piece of some kind of food on the sticky trap or not but at least if you catch something you will know what it is.

If it is bats, instead of exterminating them, provide them with a bat house. They eat loads of insects. Don't kill them.
