Help with new kitchen cabinets

Miss Boo
by Miss Boo
I have newly installed kitchen cabinets. With glass cupboard doors and I wanted the back of the cabinets to be faced with mirror and glass shelves so the light would show through the entire cabinet.
Well, 2 problems...getting the back mirrors in in one piece seemed impossible, so I'm hoping for very shiny wall paper, but the glass shelves need support along the back wall. I would like it as un- noticable as possible. Any suggestions?

We used the metal strips that hold the clips. I lined the walls with 3/8" drywall and cut the metal strips into the drywall. Then I wallpapered the wall right over the strips. My fingers could feel the indentations for the metal clips to go in and once I decided where I wanted my glass shelves, I punctured the wallpaper easily and installed the clips and the glass shelving. I only used clips on the sides of the cabinet as I had installed a plate glass mirror in the back. Having two clips (front & back) on each side was more than enough to hold the glass shelves.

Mylar comes in roll like contact paper -- but it's a pain to install without wrinkles --how about mirror squares in smaller sizes than 10 X 10 ? cutting isn't that difficult

There are plastic/acrylic mirrors as well as Contact Paper and mylar. You can score it with a utility knife.

Sometimes it is cheaper to go to a glass dealer, because you can get the exact size, and they probably would recommend the best kind of brackets.

Do you have a local glass place where you live because I had glass 3-shelf's installed in my china cabinet and it already had a mirror back and they used these round small nubs that hold the shelf in place and mine are very heavy. The shiny wallpaper with totally look stunning, I love that idea😍

The are the ones they used in my China cabinet. There were wood shelfs and I had them replaced with glass ones along with a mirrored back. They are flat rubber screw like glass holders.
