How can I refinish wall cork tiles used as a bulletin board.

Collect old Bottle corks, cut them in half and stick them over existing - Stick new Cork Tile over - Cover with Fabric to match situation - Paint - Decoupage...................etc

Cover with fabric! Use a spray on adhesive and add pretty trim around the primeter to hide the raw edges.

Marge, Good Morning :) I have posted, below, a weblink with some very cute ideas on how to update a corkboard, but found nothing at all on the web on refurbishing one that has a lot of holes and is faded out. Perhaps some of the ideas at the website below will give YOU ideas on how to can at least make it more usable in spite of the holes, at least for a little while longer. Eventaully you WILL have to replace it if you want to keep using it as a message board, because the cork will get totally spent. I have also included a link on how you may be able to turn it into a memory board where the wear on it will be cut back and it will last longer ;) Good Luck, and thanks for using Hometalk :)
