The Garden Frog with C Renee on Feb 18, 2014I have done tile a few times on walls and want to say that it will be very difficult to get the tile to stay in place. When you do wall tile you have to have a lathe or ledge for the tile to sit on while it dries to the wall (wall which should have durock or cement board). I can see the tile sliding right off the wall and if the older tile issues, then you will not have a good bond and new tile will adhere properly and mold and mildew will grow from the moisture that is trapped under the tiles. Ripping out tile is messy but doing it right the first time avoids the pitfalls and frustration of trying to take short cuts. Good luck with your project.Helpful Reply

Lisa House on Aug 23, 2015It should be fine. I had no trouble with tiles sliding. I did not use on previous tile but I did use it over paneling without any problems. Be sure you push firmly to make sure film adheres to the tile and then when you put the tile up!Helpful Reply
