Use dish soap. It's made to cut through oil and grease. Let it sit on the stain for about 20 minutes, then wash as you normally would. (Probably by hand or on "delicates," if it's a sweater.)
I have read that if you place table salt on the spot and rub gently it will absorb the oil. If its already been laundered that would depend on the material and color. Oxyclean works great, but if its 100% cotton, and/or if its a bright color, it might fade or look bleached.
Put paper towel underneath the stain, dust the front of the stain with cornstarch or baby powder, and use another paper towel on the top and push down. Continue doing this until you are soaking up no more oil. Pretreat spot with Dawn dish soap and wash as directed.
