I Needed Some More Light

Our master bedroom is cloaked in darkness....day or night! We need light. The 1 window we have sadly leads into an outdoor area where it is concealed giving very little on top of an unsightly view.
My mission is to make an illusion of a bright window....
step one was finding a nice wood framed window,I found this one at our local restore for 15.00
additional supplies,some sheer drapes and patterned panels,lights and frosted window film.
Working from the backside,next step is to put the semi opaque Privacy Frosted Window Film ...though what I purchased and got was 2 different things,this one was not the static cling kind but that of actually sticking...so it was a bit more work to make sure no lines,bubbles etc happened while putting it on. I lucked out as the film was on sale from $25.99 to $14.79 at Amazon.
one side done and onto the other...
next step was applying the dimmable LED Light Strip,just peel the backing and apply to the area,and trim if need be. Again I lucked out as the lights were on sale at Amazon from $39.99 to $10.99
testing to make sure it works,this is the backside,what will be against the wall
window side that will be seen,you do not see any lights..eventually I may place a scenic image behind it if the wall is seen to much

Instead of trying to find a backdrop or any kind of contact paper to frost the glass, creating a faux stained glass or leaded glass look would be quite beautiful and add to the aesthetic quality of the piece. Something as simple as pvc glue would work, or you could use mediums made specifically for glass.
