    I have blue hydrangeas. My solution is to cover the plant with pine needles in the late fall. The different acids coming from the different kinds of pine trees, is what determines the color it turns out. I think I have norway pine needles. If they are a long needled tree, then that is what I get.

    My grandmother used rusty nails to change the colors....she put a bunch of them in the soil.
