Much has to do with "where" you are sowing the seed. Full shade, partial shade, etc. Check with a full service nursery in your community and they will have a few options. I would not listen to the folks at the DIY stores, for the most part, they are just looking at package labels....
Bahiagrass is rarely used as a lawn grass because it is so coarse. The ugly seedheads pop up virtually overnight, so you have to mow every few days. Bermuda is better in full sun, fescue in semi-shade.
Walter is certainly more knowledgeable than I am, and he is in your area, so I will defer to his judgment. I know some organic lawn experts who say bahia gets a bad rap, but it certainly is course and some people find it very unattractive. The issue with bermuda is that it requires lots of nitrogen, which in turn can mean adding other material to get rid of the weeds and bugs that could be attracted by the nitrogen-rich soil. Perhaps look for a nice mix of carpet grass and centipede grass.
Thanks for the responses....
