I have two of them and I can tell you that they don't work THAT great anyway. I thought they were SO cool and jumped in with both feet. It was a time when I was working a lot of overtime and it was my huge treat to myself.... Wish I had the money back. Anyway, try Pinterest for lots of ideas on DIY
No But all the web address does is send you to Aerogarden.
Just get a "grow light" - same concept but much less expensive. Aerogardens sell you an entire "system."

I'm going to follow this conversation too, I would love one of those as well.
It's a hydroponic system. There's no soil just water and nutrients. With grow lights. Pintrest has lots of DIY hydroponic systems. Then just add a grow light. Grow lights need to be close to the plants to work well. Make sure you check how close they need to be to what you are going to try to grow.
