Smelly leather purse.

I recently purchased a high end leather purse, obviously a heavy smoker owned it before it was donated to Goodwill. Anyone know how to get rid of that odor?

charcoal absorbs odor well. If you like the smell of coffee, fresh ground coffee works well too. (Do not brew it!)

Thanks, I do love coffee. I've been hanging it outside & just being out in the fresh air has helped some.

You can try spraying the inside of the purse with rubbing alcohol. Dont get it on the outside.

I sprayed mine with white vinegar and left it in the sun to dry and air out, then wiped it down with some leather cleaner. The vinegar left a white residue that the leather cleaner took off.

Febreeze spray, even the generic kind, will help. But airing it out is key as well!

Put the purse outside for a couple of days. The odor will dissipate.
