Hi Everyone! This week on Hometalk's Facebook live we're sharing how you're able to take basic everyday items like notebooks or paper mache boxes and create elegant inexpensive home decor with marble contact paper! You're going to love these two projects, so let's jump into it.

We want to help you DIY, so some of the materials in this post are linked to sellers. Just so you know, Hometalk may collect a small share of sales from the links on this page.
Supplies Needed:
Paper Mache Box (found at any craft store)
Step 1: Paint the lid with your gold paint.
Step 2: Cut your contact paper to wrap around your paper mache item.
Step 3: Since this is a round object, cut the excess contact paper every 2-3 inches and fold over. This really finishes the project well.
You're finished! You have an awesome paper mache transformation that will look great in your home decor. I found these 50% off at my local craft store and I recommend stocking up.
Now with back to school, I know everyone is wanting to transform boring notebooks. Let me show you how easy it is to transform these.
Supplies:
Notebooks
Scissors
Marble Contact Paper
Step 1 : Cut your marble contact paper to the size of your notebook. Leave enough to wrap over any edges.
Step 2 : Apply your contact paper, then using scissors cut the corners off, and wrap over to finish this project!
Wasn't this another awesome transformation? I love how this project came together and I love that with marble contact paper you're able to have all your school supplies matching. Leave me a comment and let me know what you're wanting to cover in contact paper.
