If you have open gutters like I do, I use a piece of cloth to cover mines so the leaves will end up on the cloth and not the gutters. I did punk holes in the cloth to catch the rain. My sister uses the rain water and egg shells to water her plants.

They have the covers that you can install over the gutters and they also have a foam piece you can put in the gutter. The foam may be easier to put in and take out. I really have never heard anyone talking about either as to which one works better.

You can buy a roll of flexible wire fencing. Cut it in strips and arch it like a U shape, flip it over, then put it in your gutters. Should keep leaves and sticks out.

I have had very bad luck with gutter covers and don't recommend any. I live in a heavily treed area. The covers clogged and the water ran thru my walls and took down the 90+ year old plaster in my living room. It's costly to have gutters cleaned twice a year, but in my opinion it's worth it! FYI, the brand I had installed was Gutter Toppers.
