You sprinkle Epsom salt on the yard to green it up after that the spots stand out better and you saturate them with a solution made of 1 gal. water with 2 Tablespoons baking soda. It also helps to water spots right after they do it if you can.
Mix a gallon of water to 2 teaspoons of baking soda
mix a gallon of water and 4 tbls spoons of epson salts and water the area will take about a week to see new grass i keep a pail outside and when the dog goes i water it right away if i can
Not the answer I'm looking for...On Hometalkers there was an item specifically instructing the formula using Epson Salt & how to apply the formula to the Urine-burn spot to neutralize the burn & prepare it for re-seeding.
Thanks So Much....I'll give it a try.
Thanks, I think this is the formula I am looking for...I'll give it a try
Hi there, so sorry to hear that. It's a common problem. Dog urine is rich in nitrogen and ammonia so it acts as a liquid fertilizer in a concentrated amount. You can put a tablespoon of baking soda on the spot and water the area to dilute. I personally don't believe in giving your fur baby supplements to neutralize the nitrogen in their wee. It messes with their own body functions.
