Need to identify this table

Does anyone have any information on what type of coffee table this is? Manufacturer? Age?

    There are no markings at all on the bottom?

    It's a butler table to bring things to the homeowners.

    hardware looks like 30's-1940.What kind of wood is it?Maple or cherry? post when ya know!

    looks like mahogany but is hard to tell. It is a butlers tray table though.

  • Thank you, from what I've been able to find, yes, it is a butlers tray table, Mahongany from around the late 40's. Trying to find mfg. I don't think it's a Kittenger? And I also haven't been able to find one with the scroll work. On the legs there seems to have once been a brace?? wood pegs in holes near bottom sanded down smooth. Still searching.

    Well, whatever it is, I hope you don't chalk paint it. Just lightly clean it, Old English it and lightly decorate it with a few choice objects maybe from the time period of it's origin and admire it! NICE table! Where did you find it?!

      @Barbara Turner I absolutely agree, Barbara! It's a beautiful old table and it would be a real shame to destroy it with chalk or any other kind of paint!
