Recycle Cabinet Door - Checkerboard by GranArt

Here is another use for a cabinet door. I love painting on cabinet doors and use them for signs, pictures, serving trays, chalk boards and in this case a checkerboard game for the family. I started with an unfinished/nude cabinet door, acrylic paints and finished up with two coats of polyurethane. When taping off to get the perfect squares and lines use Scotch Magic tape, it works well every time. You can purchase small wood pieces at your local craft store and paint them to match the checkerboard for the checkers/draughts.

thank you Becky. It was a lot of taping off but well worth it to get the straight lines.
