I absolutely LOVE decorating for fall, so I jumped at the chance to partner with Cost Plus World Market in a sponsored post to share ideas of how to decorate your dining space with color, texture, and pattern for fall. (You can see more of my home decor ideas in my Home Decor Gallery on my blog!) I started with a basically blank slate in my dining room.
This space definitely needed some perking up for fall. B-O-R-I-N-G with nothing on the table.
I started by adding COLOR with some gorgeous salad plates and napkins in a complimentary color.
And how about these beautiful blue goblets? Don't they look vintage! I just love the gorgeous hue.
Next, I added TEXTURE with natural elements. Woven placemats are neutral but so interesting! And the wood-handle utensils just call out to you to pick them up.
I also added a wreath to the mirror opposite the table to bring some color to the wall and, of course, lots of texture. The puff balls and twigs add even more natural elements to the room and are just beautiful!
Finally, I added PATTERN with a blue striped table runner that pulls out the blue in the plates.
I also created pattern in the room by repeating objects, such as white pumpkins and mini kale pots. Creating small groups of similar objects is a great way to add pattern without overwhelming the eye.
My dining room is now ready for fall entertaining!
