DIY Baseboard Installation

Medium
After finishing up installing our laminate floors our next big project was installing baseboards with quarter round. For a detailed step by step process and more detailed pictures please visit our blog- http://thehuth.blogspot.com
This is the finished product!
This how the dining room looked when we moved in. We've installed new floors, painted, and now have crisp white baseboards :-)
Instead of installing regular door casings around the front door we decided to just continue the baseboards up around the front door. We really like how it turned out. I think it makes everything look cleaner.
The corners in our house were all straight forward 45's
Nailing the baseboards and quarter-round in
Quarter-round end caps were annoying to do, but worth the nice finished look.

Are the quarter round molding end caps something you purchased, or did you make them?

You did a lovely job. Well done for the complete transformation of the entire room.

Love this, but I have solid oak doors throughout and oak molding also. What would you suggest to enhance the wood look rather than the painted molding?
