My co-worker and I had great success with our ugly work table by bringing in an iron and a dish cloth. Put the cloth over the spot then gently iron with a warm (not hot) iron. The white marks came right up. We followed up with Old English Lemon Oil, which we put all over the table. We left it overnight (this table probably had never been oiled or polished). In the morning we wiped up any oil that was left and used a clean rag to polish the table. The cleaning staff happened to come in and saw the table. They were totally surprised - we never did tell them what we did. We just told them we used our magic hands. LOL
