I wouldn't. You will be "touching up" continually. I would pressure wash, then re-stain with ONE TIME STAIN from www.onetimewood.com. This is the BEST deck stain on the market and will last for years. In fact, I've had mine for 8 years now, and it still looks great.
we did this last fall. If it is well prepped first it will turn out beautifully. we followed the site below. Ours went from a faded ugly brown to a gorgeous teal green!! We love it!!
