DIY Seaside Sign
Another use for pallet wood here! I wanted to create a special gift for my son's visiting nurse. She has been with our family for 5 years . . . through two hips surgeries requiring body casts and then 2 years of leukemia treatment. She has been my rock. And this was made for her.
I used pallet wood to make the planking.
I pre-painted the trim pieces BEFORE attaching them.
I created the wording on the computer, printed it out, and transferred it with carbon paper, then hand painted it in.
The mermaid was inspired by one I found in an amazing Etsy shop. You can find the link to it in my original post.
I love making signs and especially when they are well-deserved gifts.
