Need suggestions on this beautiful new office space

My husband is moving into a beautiful office space with a reception area and conference room and I want to design and decorate the two rooms! Definitely going to put up some ceiling tiles but not sure which color and style to go with - any suggestions? The site is www.ceilingtilesbyus.com and we love them all obviously but we want to choose the perfect one. As for furniture and decor, should we go with a modern, contemporary or traditional style? Would love everyone's feedback!

This is a hard one I'm sure! I love decorating and I love all styles, I'm not a huge fan of a real modern style for in my home because it doesn't give off the cozy welcoming feel as other styles can. But I do think it can look nice in an office settings or businesses and have a fun edgy feel and look. Although I have never decorated a modern room in ways it would seem easier and less decisions to be made because it is kept clean and simple with minimal pictures on the walls etc... I am sure I'm sorry I probably wasn't much help here lol, but I think once you see the perfect desk or main piece of art or focal point for the area you will just know and be able to decide which direction to go... I think its time to start shopping and looking to see what all is out there... WOW! That sounds like so much fun! Good luck to you, I guess my best advice is just to have fun and it will all come together perfectly =)

Nikki, thanks so much! I'm sure it will all fall into place once we get started. Sony sugestione on ceiling tile designs we should use? I'm thinking a white or cream pearl color. Going to start on this in the next couple of weeks and want to be moved in by about a months time! Lots to do!
  • I see this more of a zen/asian with a modern twist inspired space with the french doors and the lighting there. the tile in the last pic is beautiful (like it the best). I think stained furniture to warm the space and keep it minimalistic with an oval conference table with a wrought iron chandelier above it. The chairs could be more of a parson or upholstered seating to add color to the room. If clients come to the office, then go for muted tones of teal, grays, chocolate with pops of color like orange or red. Stay away from bold colors because certain colors evoke certain feelings and you want a relaxing and creative feel. I assume ceiling tiles are your business? then use each ceiling to showcase the best tiles because it is easier to sell someone the better product if they see it. I would even think about doing a kind of "art deco" look by using your ceiling tiles painted in metallic shades. Just some thoughts because showcasing your tiles gives clients the ability to see and touch. good luck

I just realized you were in the ceiling tile business... Silly me! = ) I would definately make a statement with your tiles, I do LOVE the cream pearl! I think if you did a simple ceiling tile in the cream pearl or the white, I think doing a whole wall of your different tiles in a random patchwork arrangement of each would be so fun and also display what your selling at eye level for people to be able to see exactly what you offer close up, and it would also take care of adding artwork and other distractions to the room.I think warm wood furniture and maybe add color in side chairs unless you also sell colorful tiles then that would make the tile wall even more amazing in my opinion!!! and you could do chairs in just about any color you choose. That might sound crazy, But I do seem to drawn to eclectic style and things that are different and stand out... I think you can keep it simple and still make a statement, I like to have 1 unique item in a room whether it be art or a piece of furniture and work off of that tying the rest of the room in is much better then too much going on for me its a distraction and takes away from your focal point. Well I just got really excited about your office and got carried away. I can't wait to see what you decide! I'm sure it will be Great! =)

Hi, If you own the office, it makes a difference in how much money you put into it. Off the bat, I would paint that brown door the color of the walls or the color of the french doors. Rather than the ceiling tiles - which I love - you can save money by having someone add a molding next to the ceiling. At least 3 inches. Anything under that isn't noticeable.

Your office space is beautiful you should add some Decoration to Your walls, put colourful pictures and keep some notes in colorful holders.I was also searching a property for my startup business. I went through many online sites to search a property for my small business. Then one of my friend suggested me to get the services of serviced office rather that buying or renting property for business. He adviced me that serviced office not only provide an office space but also, take responsibility of managing and cleaning the office premise. He had recommended me to get the services of Serviced Offices International (http://www.serviced.com.au/), who provide a fully-supported office environment for business. After his advice I opt the services of serviced office for my small business.
