Cat urine needs an pet enyzme cleaner to kill the smell. I prefer the tablets that you put in warm water, twice as strong, and why pay for water, they keep forever. Get the black light flashlight too, cause urine floresces bright green, and you can find where the little devils been up to their deed. https://www.amazon.com/Jackson-Galaxy-Stain-Eliminator-Fizzion/dp/B019YMYNR0/ref=pd_sim_199_6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=G91K31KCCH03D64ANT8K

Agreed! If you are no sure where the odor is coming from, a UV light is essential. I found the UV light in the kit is too weak. UV light bulbs are easily found these days if you need a stronger light. Hopefully kitty has not used upholstered furniture....if so, it's next to impossible...especially if it's been there a while. There are deterrent sprays like bitter lime, and citrus scents to spray or pin to the area that has been cleaned. As a lifelong cat owner, this is a tough one. Everyone once in a while you will get a kitty that cannot be broken of this habit. Very tough call. Good luck to you and kitty!

Put the litter box outside on a back porch, if u have one. I trained my cat with the litter box on back porch. He either sits quietly or sits & meows very loud at the door that leads to the porch. Since he was a kitten (and did know anything) I put him in the crate when no one was home & when we were sleeping. I guess you could say I house & crate trained my cat. My daughter named him Keanu, but he doesn't come to that nam.. Every time he gets into trouble, I say CAT!! & when he's getting loved on he gets called KIT-T-CAT.

We highly recommend Dr. Elsey's Cat Litter Products available at Petco. Here is a link to the Dr. Elsey's web site. We struggled with cat box odor for years the we found the brand. The best ever. https://www.drelseys.com/our-litter/

Sometimes cats go outside their box cause they have urinary tract problems with uric crystals. Sometimes they don't like their litter, or the box isn't clean enough. Sometimes they are just mad at you cause they feel neglected.

Spray area with vinegar. Or sprinkle baking soda on floor and furniture, using this method you have to vacuum it after about an hour.
