First, You can use Mason Jars for storing dehydrated herbs, beans, spaghetti noodles, rice, any number of dry foods. It is safe and better than plastic jars or containers. Plastic gives off gases that are not good for us and it does eventually get in the food. Second, You can make candles and give them away in Mason jars. Third, Mason jars make pretty lights for the patio with tea candles in them. Fourth, some people with country homes like them to make a light in the kitchen over their bar or island. Fifth, they make wonderful gifts with popcorn, home made hot chocolate drink powder, or candy with a ribbon. I made some with dresser knobs to give as Christmas candy. See the attached photo. Hope this gets your creativity juices flowing. If nothing else you could donate the jars to someone who likes to can or can with them yourself. Hope this helps. See my Christmas gifts I made this past winter in photo with jars.
