While looking for driftwood this summer I came upon a ton of little pinecones on the beach and I knew I had to take them to do something with!

Well, while looking through supplies I came upon a circle cardboard piece that was from...a frozen pizza! I remember saving it because it was in perfect condition and we could always use a perfect cardboard circle for something right?
Taking the piece of cardboard, I cut a slit in the circle near the top to slide my ribbon through. I did this first so I didn't have to try to manipulate it after the pinecones were on.

I then just started hot gluing the pinecones on the cardboard.
When I was done filling the cardboard, if there were any gaps I just layered more pinecones on top. This also gave it a nice 3 dimensional look as well.
I then hung it by the ribbon on an empty frame.
I love the way it came out. It's neutral, natural and rustic. 3 things I love. You could even embellish it more if you'd like and it could even work for the holidays as well!

What do you think?
