How to redo a fiberglass tub?
-
Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Feb 23, 2014Before you try to paint it, which would be one solution, I would get polishing compound that is used for autos and have at it. The yellowing is the top coat of the fiberglass process that protects the material below. Often called a Gel coat. Much like a clear coat of paint it protects what is below its surface. The compound might just remove enough surface material to remove the yellowing. There are companies that can refinish professionally the fiberglass as well. If you really want this to look as new, that would be the route to take. But try the polish compound first. Will not hurt.Helpful Reply
