These plants are very forgiving and easy to grow. They like soil that drains very well with gravel in the mix....don't over water. That's about it from me. That should get you far enough so you can look it up and find a picture of yours. I'm just planting some of my own this year. Good luck.
The spikes are a male plant....I just stick in the ground, they gtow by themselves....not fussy at all.
Either you can re-pot it in succulent soil with a larger pot,or plant in the ground making sure the hole is twice the size of the root ball.
